The health benefits of tea tree EO
Tea tree essential oil, powerfully antiseptic, is part of the “basic” family panoply and treats skin conditions as well (mycosis, acne, burns, athlete’s foot, wart, cut, scab, bite…) than fatigue (it is an excellent stimulant) and… the hair, because it also has an anti-dandruff and anti-lice action!
Simple recipes based on tea tree EO
To treat fungal infections, acne pimples, small wounds and athlete’s foot:
1 drop of pure tea tree HE, on the area to be treated.
In case of ENT infection: 2 or 3 drops of tea tree HE deposited on a handkerchief, to breathe.
Against angina: 1 drop of tea tree EO, to put under the tongue, every 2 hours for 8 hours, then 1 drop 5 times a day for 4 days.
Soothe sore throats : 3 drops of tea tree EO in 1 tbsp. at s. of sweet almond oil, massage (2 drops of the mixture) along the trachea, 3 times a day.
A preparation for an anti-fatigue bath: 10 drops of tea tree EO in a neutral bath base, to pour into the bath.
In anti-fatigue massage: 10 drops of tea tree EO + 10 drops of rosewood EO, in 20 ml of macadamia vegetable oil, in massage (stomach, sternum and elbow crease), in the morning.
Anti-infection : 1 drop of tea tree HE + 2 drops of lavender HE, on the skin, 3 times a day.
Against lice: 25 drops of tea tree EO + 25 drops of lavender EO, diluted in 100 ml of olive oil, as a poultice for 2 hours OR 10 drops of each EO in a small bottle of shampoo.
Precautions to take with tea tree EO
It is a well-tolerated essential oil, but it is better to dilute (20%) with vegetable oil before applying it to large areas. It can be used in children, but not in pregnant women (the first 3 months) or breastfeeding.
