While 16 departments have been reconfigured since last Friday, other regions could soon join the list. And for good reason, 22 departments exceed (or almost) the alert thresholds set by the authorities, namely an incidence rate greater than 250 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants and a hospital pressure that exceeds 100%. Let’s do a check in.
Loire Valley Center
Located between two already confined regions (Eure and Ile-de-France), the department of Eure-et-Loir could also be subject to the new restrictions. Note that the incidence is on the rise with a rate of 278 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants and hospital pressure reaching 135%.
Normandy
If the Eure and Seine-Maritime are already confined, the Orne could soon join them. The incidence rate has been increasing there for several weeks (currently at 264 against 179 on March 8), but the situation in hospitals is not yet critical (apart from in Seine-Maritime) since we only count “ »Two-thirds of intensive care beds occupied.
Great East
In the Grand Est, the incidence rates are particularly on the rise in four departments. These are the Meurthe-et-Moselle (237), the Meuse (226), the Ardennes (200) and the Vosges (182). But it is above all the hospital tension that worries in these regions with rates of 102% for Meurthe-et-Moselle, 128% for the Meuse, 100% for the Ardennes and 188% for the Vosges.
Bourgogne-Franche-Comté
In Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, the virus has spread in particular in the Territoire de Belfort with an incidence rate reaching 320 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants against 76 at the beginning of March. However, the situation is not yet critical in hospitals since hospital pressure is estimated at 52%. For the rest of the region, the incidence rate has doubled in Yonne (301 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants) and in Nièvre (274 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants) despite hospital pressure which remains stable with a rate , in order, 61% and 50%. Finally, the Doubs has also seen its incidence rate on the rise with 282 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants and a hospital pressure of 120%.
Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes
If the Lyon metropolitan area does not yet have a critical incidence rate (231 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants and 80% of beds occupied by Covid-19 patients in hospitals), it is above all the regions of the Rhône, the Haute-Savoie and Ardèche which are facing an epidemic rise. The incidence rate is 245 for Ardèche, 289 for Haute-Savoie and 299 for Rhône. As for the hospital pressure, it is 150% in Ardèche, 100% in Haute-Savoie and 95% in the Rhône.
Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur
In this region, it is above all the departments of Var and Hautes-Alpes which crossed the alert thresholds with incidence rates of 333 and a hospital pressure of 110% for the Var and 274 and 99% for the Hautes -Alps. With regard to Bouches-du-Rhône and Alpes-Haute-Provence, we note an incidence rate of 315 and 234 and a hospital pressure of 99% and 117% /
Occitania
Finally, it is in the departments of Gard and Lozère that Occitanie sees its figures on the rise with an incidence rate of 297 in the Gard and 173 in Lozère and a saturation of intensive care services of 100. % for both departments.
