This is not a scoop: Tiktok is sometimes a place of disinformation, which leads to indulging in practices dangerous to health… After the “internal shower” drink and the healthier coke made from vinegar, the bad drink recipes are back with a “miracle” solution made from baking soda. Why you have to be very careful, and not consume it: explanations.
First, the promise sold with the drink is full of errors. Under this recipe based on water, Himalayan salt and baking soda (without specified limits), it is said that we would lose cellulite, a symptom of dehydration, and weight. What is false: the latter is not due to poor hydration. otherwise baking soda has no no action on cellulitenor on the fat mass.
Magic cure, really?
As a reminder, baking soda is a versatile product that is useful in many areas, as it disinfects, descales, degreases… So, if you want to: clean your fridge, brush your teeth, accompany your laundry to make them softer… This is a good method to use without depriving yourself.
Occasionally, and in controlled quantities, it can be consumed (its food version of course) to help digest. It notably reduces heartburn, as a teaspoonful in a glass of water with lemon juice (not in each glass of water, therefore). But to a certain extent, because in too large a dose, it may make you vomit, give you diarrhea, or even gas. If emptying can actually make you lose weight, it’s a very bad idea for your health!
Another clarification, due to its high salt content, bicarbonate administered internally is not recommended for people with heart problems and those suffering from high blood pressure. Ditto for pregnant women or children under 6 years old.
