Two viruses are involved in warts:
– The human papillomavirus (HPV or HPV) is the cause of common common warts, round and rough, sitting on the top of the hand, fingers, as well as plantar warts. You show them to your doctor to confirm the diagnosis, but the idea is to wait a few months to give the immune system time to get rid of the virus. If the warts persist and multiply, we consult again for a possible treatment, knowing however that it will not alloweradicate the virus but only destroy the lesions. We can possibly turn to products available for self-medication, checking that they are well suited to children. Those based on salicylic acid will burn the wart, while dressings impregnated with a virucidal product will act by “suffocating” it. You can also try the placebo, by soaking your child’s finger in hot water, for example. Finally, some studies suggest the effectiveness of a simple adhesive tape placed on the wart.
– The Molluscum contagiosum, or Pox virus, responsible for the warts of the same name. These are small, soft, translucent warts, 1 to 5 mm in diameter. Very contagious, they multiply rapidly in children. “They are unsightly, but benign. They usually disappear after a year and a half, ”explains Dr S aholy Razafinarivo-Schoreisz, pediatrician. No need to test pharmacy products, ineffective on this type of warts, or to inflict painful sessions on your child at the dermatologist. To speed up the process, we rely on homeopathy: Nitri acidum 9 CH, Mezereum 9 CH (if itching and whitish vesicles), Staphysagria 9 CH and Vaccinotoxinum 9 CH, alternately once a week for a few weeks.
Homeopathy to the rescue of human papillomavirus (HPV) warts
The treatments being different depending on the warts, it is advisable to consult a homeopath. Here, we will retain these two basic treatments:
– Calcarea carbonica 15 CH for stubborn warts of the upper limbs or plantar warts. It is generally associated with Sulfur 15 CH.
– Thuja 9 CH if the warts are soft, soft, with a burning sensation; if they are hard, in a bouquet on the hands; pedicled, on the face, on the eyelids, on the upper lip.
