Jochem: “All my life I have been in hospital and out of hospital. My donor kidney was rejected when I was thirteen. I have now been waiting for a donor kidney for ten years and dialysis the only way to survive. The last two years of high school, I went to the AMC five times a week for dialysis. I usually did schoolwork in the hospital. It took me two years to get my final exams.”
In addition to being a kidney patient, Jochem is also just a 23-year-old boy who studies and has one great passion: pop music.
