The Vendôme 80 is not a tourist rally limited to 80 km / h. To participate, entrants just need to register with a legendary vehicle from the 80s! The 2nd edition of this event started on September 10 from Place Vendôme, in Paris. The argus was there … Tour of the paddock.
The Vendôme 80 is the only “Total Look 80s” rally, assure the organizers of this tourist hike between Paris and the Center-Val de Loire region. For his 2e edition, the event kept all its promises and stocked up on 80’s stars. Argus offers you an overview of the cars involved in photos and video.
Ferraris, Porsches, two French women …
The 80 prestigious vehicles, and their disguised crews, set off on September 10 from Place Vendôme, in Paris, towards the city of Vendôme in Loir-et-Cher, which they will join on September 12. To join the Loire Valley and its castles (they will stop at the Château de Chambord), everyone has chosen their mount … The field has several Ferraris including an exceptional F40 LM. We have also come across Porsches: 911s of course, as well as 928s. Some competitors have played it more modestly by entering their Mazda MX-5 or their VW Golf GTI. Note the presence of two French: a Renault R5 Turbo 2 and a Peugeot 504 Cabriolet Hardtop.
… and rarities!
The set brought together some exceptional cars by their (very) low distribution. The curious who came to admire the sportswomen were thus able to discover in more detail a Vector W8 and its 6.0L V8 of more than 600 hp. For the record, there were only 22 copies produced! Another rarity: an Isdera Imperator 108i. 30 examples saw the light of day between 1984 and 1993. Under the hood, there is an AMG V8. Finally, in addition to the Ferrari F40 LM, two Lamborghini Countach LP 5000 QV made the trip! To admire also if you cross this procession: the orange BMW M1 and the red Audi Quattro. To discover in photos in our slideshow!
