The National Council of the Order of Physicians, meeting in session, decided to file a complaint against Professor Henri Joyeux. He denounces outrageous and dangerous comments on vaccination.
With nearly 700,000 signatures Addressed to the Minister of Health, the petition of Professor Henri Joyeux, oncologist, recently hit the headlines. This doctor protests against the de facto monopoly of Infanrix hexa, a combined vaccine, which, in addition to the compulsory Diphtheria-Tetanus-Poliomyelitis vaccination, adds an optional (but recommended) vaccination against three other diseases.
This oncologist also formulated a list of grievances against the Infanrix hexa. The vaccine contains aluminum and formaldehyde, two adjuvants that he considers dangerous to health, and would cost much more than other vaccines. To these attacks, Marisol Touraine, but above all the infectious diseases specialists, have already responded, explaining that, contrary to what Professor Joyeux denounces in his petition, there is no scientific data proving the toxicity of vaccines for the brain (sclerosis in plaques, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s) and muscles (macrophage myofasciitis). And this Thursday, it is the National Council of the Order of Physicians (CNOM) which counterattacked.
Dangerous words for patients
During a press point organized this Thursday, the President of the Order, Patrick Bouet, indicated that the CNOM, meeting in session, decided to file a complaint against Professor Henri Joyeux. The institution denounces two offenses committed by this practitioner.
“On the one hand, he made remarks not supported by scientific bases which, today, undermine the profession of doctor. On the other hand, his speech can be “dangerous” for the population, since it would be a question of discrediting the mechanism of preventive vaccination, whereas we consider that it is the responsibility of the doctor to accompany the actions of health. public included in the Code of Ethics, ”recalled the Order.
A possible delisting from the Order
Concretely, the CNOM will therefore lodge a complaint with the disciplinary chamber of first instance concerned by the case. It is that of Languedoc-Roussillon, since this surgeon practices in Montpellier.
And even before the results of the judgment, Patrick Bouet already announces that in the event of Professor Joyeux’s release, he will appeal to the national disciplinary chamber, “because this case requires that we go to the end of the procedure”, does he think.
However, he underlines that the time for justice is “long”, since Professor Joyeux will have between 6-8 months to prepare his defense, “the time that this administrative court (where a magistrate sits) conducts the investigation in first instance “. The President of the Order specified that the penalty incurred could go “up to the radiation”.
“We cannot condone abuses of this nature in the debate on vaccination which agitates French society. To resolve anxieties and concerns, we must provide scientific facts, and not individual convictions, ”he concluded.
