These hospitalizations took place in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Patients, mainly adolescents, presented with difficulty in breathing, fatigue, dizziness and cases of coughing. They are thirty in total, but 22 others are being followed for similar symptoms.
One point in common between patients
Doctors have yet to demonstrate that vaping is the cause of their problems. But their only common point among all patients is their consumption of electronic cigarettes.
Thomas Haupt, a respiratory specialist with the Wisconsin Health Department told AFP: “For now, vaping is the one thing all of these things have in common, but we’re trying to expand our research to determine with certainty that we’re not forgetting anything.“.
