Obviously, vanilla dessert creams (full of fat), chocolate mousse (industrial) and flavored yogurts (100% sugar), that doesn’t count. But according to a recent study by the Utrecht University in The Netherlands (Netherlands), regularly consume plain yogurts would allow weight loss, especially in the abdomen.
Scientists analyzed the results of 22 studies, previously conducted by groups of researchers around the world. Among all this work, 13 studies focused in particular on the link between changes in BMI (Body mass index) and the consumption of yogurt. The others refined the results obtained.
Calcium, a good fat burner?
“Scientifically speaking, we can’t really say that yogurts make you lose weight,” analyzes Irene Lenoir-Wijnkoop, co-author of this work, which was published in the specialist journal Journal of Obesity. However, yoghurts – provided they are whole milk and unflavored – contain micronutrients which are beneficial to health.
I am thinking, for example, of calcium, which is involved in the process of metabolizing fat. Moreover, as it is a fermented product, yogurt also acts on the intestinal flora, therefore on the storage of fat in the abdomen, in particular. »No reason to do without!
