How do you take care of your lips?
Dry lips are a common phenomenon. Cracks, fissures, not a pretty sight. Fortunately, there are a number of things you can do to prevent and remedy dry lips. We have listed a number of tips for you.
Do not
- If you suffer from dry lips, your first reaction is often wet licking. A very natural reaction, but unfortunately no solution. Your lips feel better for a while, but the saliva dries out your skin even more.
- Do not use ‘long-lasting’ lipstick. They dry out your lips much faster than other lip balms and lipsticks.
- Another thing to watch out for is that you don’t go out without putting something on your lips. It is best to use a lip gloss or lip balm with a protection factor. The sun can also dry out your lips.

- Drink a lot of water. Not only good for your lips, but also good for the rest of your skin and body.
- Lubricate your lips with lip balm several times a day. Especially before going to sleep, it is important to lubricate your lips well.
- Do you suffer from sheets? Scrub your lips gently with a soft toothbrush. Not too hard, because then there is a good chance that you will damage the skin of your lips.
