In The Tindler Swindler, several victims speak, including a Dutch one. These women were victims of a man who went by the name Simon Leviev. It started with innocent dates after meeting through dating platform Tinder. Leviev lived an exotic lifestyle. All this was possible because, by his own admission, he was the son of Lev Leviev, a diamond magnate from Israel. None of that turned out to be true. The money Simon used to maintain his bizarre life of luxury clothes, hotels, jets and cars was on the backs of the women he dated. These, often resulting in loans and high debt, paid for his lifestyle after he won the trust of ladies.
Now it’s easy to say ‘naive’, but be sure to watch the documentary itself before you make a judgment. Many have already preceded you. The Tindler Swindler has a rating of 7.4 on IMDb and it is currently in the top 10 on Netflix.
