Everything has to be more modern these days. The PostNL not-home note will soon be gone.
We’re ordering some off these days. The vans drive back and forth in our streets, with all the dangers that entails. The delivery person will put a note in your box if you don’t open it. Handy, then you know right away that he has visited (and whether it has been dropped off at your neighbors). But this goes change†
PostNL not-home note
Every company has to work more sustainably these days. Also PostNL and that is why it comes with an alternative to the notes. Because this is not sustainable, it costs 70,000 kilos of paper per year. Quite a few trees have to be cut down for that. The company says that 9% of all people are not at home when the package is delivered. Actually still worth it.
Well, it costs too much paper and time. Time is money and the delivery person only takes a long time to deliver all those notes. He therefore looks like a postman. That cannot be the intention and that is why PostNL has come up with a digital solution. Last year they started testing a system that has proven to be so successful that it will now be introduced.
Digital
As of 1 July (that is tomorrow) the notes will disappear. All information about the delivery can then be found in the mail or via the PostNL app. Are not you home? Then you will receive a notification in your email or via the app. You can also always see the most recent status of your package there. Think about where it is or when it will be delivered.
You must first create an account. The annoying thing is that there are many delivery services and that you have to install all kinds of (extra) apps on your phone. Well, apparently that is necessary in these modern times.
