The smartphone, a personalized coach
Connected health enthusiasts mainly use their smartphone as a coach. However, a very small minority of respondents (9%) use their health apps daily. The majority of them (54%) only use it very rarely after loading the applications. In reality, they are only useful to them at a given time (for 42%) or are not adapted to their needs (26%).
On the other hand, 44% of French people questioned for this survey said they were interested in the connected scale and 43% of them by the connected blood pressure monitor. The smart watch and bracelet seem to attract 42% of respondents. The medicine box would be used by 36% of French people.
good news for the iMedipac, the connected weekly pill dispenser, designed by the French start-up Medissimo. Thanks to a system of LEDs and sound alerts, it informs the user that it is time to take their treatment. Capable of sending reminder emails and SMS, it therefore makes it possible to respect the time of taking medication day after day and throughout the day and to secure the taking of the treatment. An innovation that could reduce medication errors, avoid waste and make treatments more effective.
This study was conducted with a sample of 1452 respondents.
