Men and women sometimes struggle to understand each other. This could be explained by differences in behavior. Yep, we wouldn’t be connected in the same way. At least that is what one can read in the Proceedings of the American Academy of Sciences (Pnas).
Ragini Verma, professor of radiology at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine compared the brains of 521 healthy women and 428 men, ages nine to twenty-two. The result of these observations shows distinct connections between men and women. “These maps of brain connectivity show striking and also complementary differences in the architecture of the human brain. They help provide a potential neural basis as to why men excel at certain tasks and women at others,” explains the professor. .
Complementary brains
Concretely, in the male brain, we see greater neuronal connectivity between the front of the brain, seat of coordination of action, and the back in the cerebellum, seat of intuition. The human brain would thus be programmed to facilitate the exchange of information between the center of perception and action.
