January 21, 2011 – For a 7e consecutive year, the ACTI-MENU organization invites Quebecers aged 6 and over to take up the Health 5/30 Balance Challenge.
This comprehensive health program, which aims to integrate better long-term lifestyle habits, will take place from 1er March to April 11, 2011.
Main novelty in 2011: participants will be able to benefit from free support throughout the year, to help them stay the course.
To this end, participants will have access to an online 5/30 Balance calendar, weekly menus and exercise programs, in addition to receiving encouragement emails on a regular basis.
Likewise, they will be able to discuss and exchange practical tips and encourage each other through the Challenge’s Facebook page, accessible at www.facebook.com/defisante.
Another new feature is that families who register will also be able to assess their household’s health rating using a test, giving them the chance to become the “Health Challenge Family”.
5 fruits and vegetables / 30 minutes of physical activity
Remember that the challenge – lasting 6 weeks – consists of achieving the following objectives, at least 5 days a week:
- eat at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables per day;
- move 30 minutes or more daily;
- improve your life balance by taking time out.
Whether individual, family or group, you can register before the 1ster next March on the website www.DefiSante530Equilibre.ca.
