Walkman fan? Then there is good news, because Sony is coming the ultimate walkman.
Sony has designed this walkman for the real fans. You have to spend a lot of money to buy such a device. But you definitely get something in return. Sony is again launching two new versions of top music players. The best is the NW-WM1ZM2 with a price tag of 3,500 euros.
Sony Walkman
They could still work on the name, but it’s not really catchy. But on the other hand, only true audiophiles buy such a device. They just love a name like this. Anyway, the NW-WM1ZM2 has a Kimber Cable for a perfect connection to the headphones, a remarkable chassis and a digital S-Master HX amplifier.
You can show off with the walkman, because the chassis is made of 99.99 percent pure gold and oxygen-free copper. Sony has not forgotten the soldering and is also equipped with gold. All this has a positive effect on the quality of the sound.
Improvements
The new Walkman is also better than its predecessor technically. It’s still based on Android, has a larger five-inch (and ultimately 720p) screen, a larger power supply, and an improved upscaling algorithm for CD-quality audio (16-bit, 44/48kHz). There’s room to store content too, with 256GB for your music, Wi-Fi streaming, a USB-C port and 40 hours of battery life playing 96kHz FLAC audio.
There also is a cheaper version of about 1,200 euros, but then you have to do without all the gold. You will also have to make do with 128 GB of expandable space.
