And the latter often pulls morale and self-esteem down,” said the specialist.
Slimming from the bottom: boost your motivation
Working your mind is essential, assures the specialist. Behind every weight problem, there are always psycho-emotional components. It is therefore necessary to adopt good reflexes not to crack and boost his motivation according to his “nature”. “If you want to achieve a long-term balance, it is important to eat in line with your real physiological needs but also to take into account your personal” disturbances “, explains Dr Bernard-PhilippeBulidon.
Good daily reflexes
- Go out, to go for a walk, phone a good friend to get out of the instinctual diet and find ways to stop “cracking” and nibble at the slightest stress. And if you’re not working from home, chat with a friendly colleague instead of rushing to the chocolate bar or the office vending machine.
- Boost your self-confidence and calm the mind and with individual practices such as yoga or oriental disciplines (martial arts for example).
- Focus on your victories, even small ones, and not its failures, so as to drive out permanent devaluation, to gradually regain self-confidence and therefore, to open up better to others.
- Write down all its small progress, even minimal, so as not to forget them and to be able to hang on to them when needed.
