Skoda already details the specifications of the Enyaq Coupé iV, a variant of its electric SUV announced for 2022. As usual, the manufacturer takes the opportunity to show the car still camouflaged, enough to get a better idea of its appearance.
It has been several months since Skoda confirmed the development of a coupe variant of the Enyaq iV. The Czech manufacturer, owned by the Volkswagen group, is now unveiling some images of its next electric SUV, which is still camouflaged. At the same time, the brand reveals its main characteristics. As you might expect, this declination with a more dynamic look will adopt a slightly more upscale positioning.
An aesthetic difference above all
Despite its roof which declines to the stern to give the vehicle a “fastback” silhouette, the Skoda Enyaq Coupé iV displays almost identical dimensions to those of the base model and still offers five seats. In detail, it turns out to be 4 mm longer but also 1 mm higher.
The trunk volume suffers little from this new profile with 570 L announced, only 15 L less than the classic Enyaq iV. The car will be offered with the already known Loft, Lodge and ecoSuite interior finishes. The panoramic roof and the 13-inch central touchscreen will be standard equipment, which is not the case with the entry-level Enyaq iV.
Up to 535 km of autonomy or 265 hp
The Enyaq Coupé iV will ignore the more modest powertrain of the Enyaq iV, named 50. It will be offered in the following versions:
- 60: 58 kWh net battery, 179 hp rear engine
- 80: battery of 77 kWh net, rear engine of 204 hp
- 80x: battery of 77 kWh net, twin engine, 265 hp, 4×4
Benefiting from a coefficient of aerodynamic drag reduced to 0.247 against 0.257 for the Enyaq iV that we know, the Coupé model displays a slightly greater range with “More than” 535 km claimed for its most enduring version against 533 km for the Enyaq iV 80 currently. Only the look of the Enyaq Coupé iV without camouflage and its prices remain to be known. It will take a few more months for this to happen, with the launch of the vehicle scheduled for early 2022.
