If the tiger mosquito is so comfortable with us, it is because three ingredients come together to satisfy its proliferation. As recalled byIle-de-France ARSthe latter feeds its eggs by biting us, takes advantage of stagnant water to lay eggs and appreciates the shade it finds under the trees.
If it seems difficult to consider disappearing yourself, to remove the shade, or to avoid any source of water where it could reproduce, there are nevertheless techniques to limit its comfort zone (and therefore , proliferation!)
Some municipalities treated
In some regions, such as New Aquitainethe mosquito Aedes albopictus is tracked via nest trapsaround strategic places such as airports, health establishments, or in municipalities that are close to colonized areas.
But in other areas that are nevertheless concerned, over the period of activity of the tiger mosquito (from May to November), no means are put in place on a large scale. So, it’s up to you to fight: by paying close attention to the state of your garden, for example, to what you store, to your humidity zones, to your mosquito net equipment…
