Lexus and Toyota majority in the hybrid market …

Ford, Hyundai-Kia and Renault in ambush
If the classic hybrid has long been the preserve of Toyota, another group, Korean this time, followed suit: Hyundai-Kia. On the side of other manufacturers, Ford launched in 2015 with the Mondeo sedan, joined in 2019 by its Mondeo SW station wagon version. But for the moment, the number of “full hybrid” models remains marginal in Ford’s range, which focuses on its micro-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric models.
Renault has also embarked on the race for hybridization with success. For the time being, the range has three hybrid models. Clio, Captur and Arkana have an E-Tech variant of 140 or 145 hp depending on the case.
