Rockstar makes us hot with GTA Trilogy GIFs (+gameplay)

The release of the GTA Trilogy is just around the corner and so Rockstar is sharing some beautiful GIFs while sharing some nice gameplay.

Grand Theft Auto is an iconic series and Rockstar knows it all too well. Leading up to the release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on November 11 shares Rockstar therefore some iconic scenes from the first 3D GTAs. And of course those scenes are extra beautiful because of the coding magic that the company has unleashed on the nearly 20-year-old games. This is especially evident in leaked gameplay!

Of course, the opening mission of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas takes center stage in the previews. We see CJ walking through the deserted alley in remastered form for the first time. “Ah shit, here we go again,” he says disappointed after corrupt cops (led by Samuel L. Jackson) stripped him of his earthly possessions. Furthermore, the Giphy page is full of other classic moments from the franchise.

Gameplay leaked

In addition, there is some extra good news for everyone who really can’t wait anymore. A little YouTube channel called okjosh shares over an hour of GTA Trilogy gameplay. Below, for example, is 15 minutes from the start of GTA: Vice City.

And yes, it looks very slick. Although the animations and physics have been kept ‘classic’, the engine has been given a huge upgrade, especially in terms of lighting. The headlights of a car or the traffic lights in the dark Vice City look unbelievably beautiful for a game almost 20 years old.
