This 46and edition of Rétromobile, which takes place from March 16 to 20, 2022 in Paris, marks a return to business after a show canceled last year due to the pandemic. Let’s start with the unmissable star of the Motor Show, the Renault 5, which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. The diamond-shaped brand pulled out all the stops with no less than twelve examples on its stand, from the basic version to the Maxi 5 Turbo entered in the supertourism championship.

Caselani, the HG type in motorhome mode
First walkabout for the Caselani Type HG Campervan, the van fitted out with a deliciously retro look.
Let’s continue our visit with the Caselani Type HG Campervan, in other words, the van fitted out on the basis of a Citroën SpaceTourer with a Type H muzzle. This is the first time that this Caselani variant has been exhibited at a Motor Show, so don’t miss it. To stay in the world of double chevron models, let’s go to the Aventure Peugeot Citroën DS stand, which celebrates the 40th anniversary of the BX. And, on the DS side, don’t miss the SM Opéra, a rare model manufactured in just seven units by Henri Chapron. Another nugget: a Porsche 968 Turbo S which is already a collector. Moreover, this is chassis number 0, which then gave rise to a production of only thirteen units. This first-hand vehicle has 305 hp mechanics.
The Artcurial auction house is presenting no less than 170 cars this year. Impossible to detail them all. However, a beautiful lineup of Ferraris is on display in a row. Judge for yourself: Ferrari F40, Ferrari F50, Ferrari Enzo and Ferrari LaFerrari will be priced. To get back behind the wheel, you will obviously have to break the bank, the most expensive (the F50) being estimated at between 2,700,000 and 3,500,000 €.
The cars of Group A!
Let’s leave the red cars for blue cars. At Gordini, there are not only blue Renault Dauphines, R8s and R12s with white stripes. Indeed, the brand conceals a very rich heritage. With our colleagues from the magazine Youngtimer, the theme of this 2022 edition is Group A vehicles. A category created in 1982 and which will last until 1997. The opportunity to admire the Ford Escort Cosworth, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Subaru Impreza or BMW M3 e30 which are in the program. If you like fins, go to this stand!
