The city of Reims and the Greater Reims Urban Community are announcing the establishment of a Low Emissions Mobility Zone (ZFEm) from September 1. However, the penalties for the most polluting vehicles will not be effective until January 2022 after a “pedagogical period”.
By the end of 2021, no less than 15 territories will have established a Low Emissions Mobility Zone (ZFEm). From 1er September 2021, this will be the case for the city of Reims and the Urban Community of Greater Reims. The ZFEm perimeter covers the city center and the Taittinger road (A344).

From education until January 2022
The objective of these ZFEm is to limit the circulation of the most polluting vehicles in order to improve air quality. Until January 2022, the metropolis will set up a “pedagogical period” to allow all motorists to invest in a Crit’Air sticker, the key to crossing the gates of the city, and failing to find an alternative if the vehicle is banned (see below). Here is the timetable for the implementation of the traffic restrictions:

What is the Crit’Air sticker on your car?
How do you know if your vehicle will be banned in the area? You just have to refer to the year it was put into circulation. The purchase of the Crit’Air sticker (€ 3.67) must be done via the site www.certificat-air.gouv.fr. It is valid for the duration of the vehicle.
