Because of “his alarmist speech on vaccines”, Professor Henri Joyeux was removed from the Order of Physicians. Not to discourage him, since he will appeal. This one is suspensive.
While 14 practitioners did not appeal their radiation from the Order of Physicians (CNOM) in 2015, Professor Henri Joyeux does not intend to stop there. Banned from exercise for life because of “his alarmist speech on vaccines”, the sulphurous oncologist surgeon, retired since 2014, has decided to appeal.
“I will not let it go, it is obvious that I will appeal and the appeal is suspensive. I will continue to consult, advise; I am not against vaccines, I am against the abuse of vaccinations, ”he said on Tuesday on RTL.
While this sanction was to be applicable from 1er December, this specialist denounces a political intrusion into this judgment: “This decision comes directly from the Ministry of Health and the Council of the National Order who seek to silence me”. “But they will not succeed,” he added. And Professor Joyeux concludes that he will not “kneel before the High Council of Public Health (HCSP) which is itself manipulated by pharmaceutical laboratories”.
A million signatures for his petition
As a reminder, the Montpellier doctor was the subject of a complaint filed by the CNOM. At issue: his anti-vaccine petition launched more than a year ago and which today brings together nearly 1,040,000 signatures. In this text, he attacks in particular Infanrix hexa, a vaccine combining six vaccines, including DT-Polio but also that against whooping cough, meningitis and hepatitis B.
He states that this product contains “two dangerous or even very dangerous substances for humans and in particular infants, which can in particular cause a serious disease, macrophagic myofasciitis” and that “the hepatitis B vaccine is suspected of being link to multiple sclerosis. “
At these attacks, Patrick Bouet, the President of the CNOM, denounced “remarks not supported by scientific bases which therefore undermine the profession of doctor”. He also criticized “a very ‘dangerous’ speech for the population, since it would be a question of discrediting the preventive vaccination mechanism”.
Infectious disease specialists wind up
Last June, the French Language Infectious Pathology Society (SPILF) had gone up to the front to defeat one by one the surgeon’s arguments which are, according to her, only a “series of inaccuracies, even untruths. scientists ”. The infectious disease specialists had also denounced the “unworthy way” with which the petition plays “on the questions and the emotions of the parents”.
An opinion shared by the ordinal disciplinary chamber of first instance of Languedoc-Roussillon. This in fact ruled that the doctor “committed extremely serious breaches of the code of ethics” and that he did not support public health actions “for the protection of health and health education ”.
She also considered that Professor Joyeux had broken the law by “indicating the dangers to health of following the recommendations of the High Council of Public Health”.
