The 100% electric Renault Kangoo utility vehicle enters the scene. Called Kangoo Van E-Tech Electric, the successor to the Kangoo ZE boasts a larger battery and up to 300 km of range. Prices start at €33,600 excluding tax and go up to €36,800 excluding tax.
Renault markets from 1er June 2022, his Kangoo Van E-Tech Electric. This is the utility version of its 100% electric MPV. As a reminder, the thermal Renault Kangoo Van has been in the catalog since spring 2021. This “on-plug” variant benefits from a larger battery than its predecessor, the Renault Kangoo ZE In concrete terms, the accumulator of this electric Kangoo 3 gains 11 kWh of capacity which gives it 70 km of additional autonomy. It’s not nothing, on a daily basis for the craftsmen, it makes it possible to lengthen the customer round.

300 km range for the electric Kangoo
The range of the new Renault Kangoo Van E-Tech Electric is based on two trim levels: Grand Confort and Extra. of 245 Nm. The lithium-ion type battery with a capacity of 45 kWh allows a range of 300 km. Three types of chargers are on the program:
- one of 11 kW three-phase is suitable for all types of domestic loads.
- a 22 kW three-phase can fill up with accelerated electrons on public terminals.
- an optional 22 kW fast charger, operating at 80 kW direct current, provides a range of 170 km in just 30 minutes.
Renault indicates that a Kangoo Van E-Tech Electric with 15% battery will require to reach 80% of the charge: 2h40 on an 11kW Wallbox and 6h on a 7.4 kW Wallbox.
Fortunately, switching to electric has no impact on the loading capacity of the Kangoo Van. The latter retains a carrying volume of 3.9 m3 on the 4.49 m long L1 version for a payload of 600 kg. Subsequently, the L2 version of a 4.91 m format will swallow up to 4.9 m3 and will take up to 800 kg. In both cases the towing capacity is 1,500 kg. The “open sesame” sliding side door with an architecture without a middle pillar, which offers 1.45 m long access on the right side, is offered on all versions at a price of €1,000.
