In Marseille, the parents of little Charles, who died two years ago from cancer, are appealing to find their stolen computer. The MacBook Pro contains all of their son’s photos.
It’s a burglary that takes on a whole new dimension. Wednesday morning, a little before 11 am, the restaurant “Chez Papa Poule”, located rue Breteuil (6th arrondissement) in Marseille is broken into while the owner is in the kitchen. In his booty, the thief steals in particular a laptop computer. The MacBook Pro belongs to the dad of Charles, their four-year-old son who died of cancer in 2014. But the disappearance of the object is far from trivial. The site of France 3 Provence-Alpes reports, in fact, that in addition to being the father’s working tool, the computer’s hard drive contains photos of the child. These have not been saved elsewhere.

In the local press, the family confides in their dismay: “It is not for the value of the computer that I am upset, but for the photos of my son, Charles that are inside. They have been listed since his birth. I have the impression of losing it a second time, ”says Sigolène Moulin Lafaix, the mother. To try to find him, she therefore calls the person who stole the computer and asks him to return it (contact: Chez Papa Poule: 04 86 95 99 16). And on his Facebook page, she even asks as many people as possible to share this SOS.
Know that this courageous mother also created theassociation “For Charles’s friends” which makes it possible to collect donations for research against pediatric cancer at the Timone Hospital in Marseille.
Next planned event, a small budget jewelry sale (from 10 euros) on Saturday December 10 from 3:00 p.m. Theaddress is 68 rue Breteuil, 13006 Marseille (Chez Papa Poule).
