Peugeot distributor since 1922, the Vauban group celebrated its centenary by organizing an exceptional exhibition at the Osny dealership in Val-d’Oise (95). The argus was there and here is an overview with the 205 and 405 T16, 206 WRC, 908 HDi and 505 Dangel Dakar headlining.
To celebrate the centenary of the Vauban Group, the Peugeot dealership in Osny (95) organized an exceptional gathering of models from the Lion brand. 100 vehicles from private collections and the Peugeot Adventure Museum were on display. The general public, who had free access to the event, was able to discover mass-produced vehicles, export models and competition cars in the open air.

From the Peugeot 172 to the 308 SW
The oldest model on display was none other than a 1922 Peugeot 172, according to the label affixed to its windshield. It is certainly one of the first models that Louis Hossard, founder of the Vauban group, had to sell in his establishment in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (78). The family business – which, for the record, takes its name from a square in the royal town – is now established on 22 sites spread over 78, Val-d’Oise (95) and Oise (27 and 60). To make the link with the present, the brand’s star SUVs (3008, 2008, etc.) as well as the recent 308 and 308 SW were there. They rubbed shoulders with many vintage models: 106, 203, 205, 404, 504, 406…
Stars of the competition
The history of Peugeot also goes through motor racing. While waiting for the manufacturer’s big comeback in endurance with the 9×8, the Peugeot Osny dealership called on the Musée de l’Aventure Peugeot and Orhès Racing to bring together legendary models like the 205 T16, the 405 T16 Pikes Peak or the 908 HDi FAP of the victorious 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2009. The exhibition also included a 405 T16 from the 1990 Dakar, a 206 WRC or a 104 ZS engaged in the 104 ZS ice cup.
