Peugeot is reviewing and reducing the range of the 3008 SUV. The entry-level Active finish disappears in favor of an Active Pack version which at the same time replaces the Active Business configuration. The SUV now starts at € 31,950 and the number of possible configurations is decreasing.
For various reasons such as the shortage of electronic chips, regulatory constraints in terms of CO2 and obviously the search for profitability, Peugeot is scaling up its range and reducing the number of versions in the catalog. The 3008 is particularly the expense. The SUV, having already lost its 180 hp BlueHDi diesel engine and 180 hp PureTech gasoline unit this year, can now be seen deprived of its entry-level Active finish. The Active Business variant also goes by the wayside, as for the other models of the brand, replaced by the Active Pack configuration.
€ 500 more at entry level
Now providing access to the 3008 range, the Active Pack finish requires a minimum of € 31,950 with the PureTech 130 manual transmission engine. Its standard equipment includes:
- dual-zone automatic air conditioning
- reversing camera
- front and rear parking radar
- cruise control / speed limiter
- digital dashboard
- electrically folding mirrors
- 17 inch alloy wheels
Unlike the Active Business finish that it replaces, the Active Pack version is not automatically entitled to the navigation system. The price of the latter in the options catalog decreases from € 1,200 to € 750, which makes it possible to limit the additional cost necessary to obtain the same level of equipment to 150 €, or 35,100 € minimum for the new model. On the other hand, GPS is now standard on the Style special series which starts at € 32,650.

Fewer possible configurations
Peugeot is also removing certain powertrain and trim combinations for the 3008. GT diesel version can no longer be ordered with a manual transmission, and the Hybrid4 engine is no longer offered for the Allure and Roadtrip configurations. The latter also loses the option of a motorized tailgate. Finally, on board the 3008 GT (excluding Pack), the Alcantara is replaced by a classic fabric. The catalog of the 3008 is therefore clearly thinner, and the manufacturer could continue this cure through its entire range until the end of this year.
