Carried out on the initiative of Pharma mar, a laboratory specializing in oncology and engaged in the development of antitumor molecules of marine origin, the first Bullet journal for patients with ovarian cancer will be distributed in cancer departments.
It was carried out in collaboration with Dr Anne Floquet (medical oncologist and medical adviser to IMAGYN), Laëtitia Valentin, a Codes socio-esthetician, the Francophone Association for Oncological Support Care (ASFOS) and Catherine Cerisey, a former patient . The illustrations (and the advice that adorn the pages) have been produced by Charlotte Husson, a young woman in remission from ovarian cancer for 3 years.
7th cause of cancer in women
the ovarian cancer is the 7th cause of cancer in women in incidence with 4400 new cases estimated each year. But this is the 4th cause of cancer deaths in women with about 3000 deaths.
About 10% of these ovarian cancers occur in a context of genetic predisposition. They are then often linked to a mutation of BRCA 1 or 2 genes and occur before age 60.
The bullet journal is full of practical advice and tackles all subjects without taboos. He informs about the disease, its undesirable effects, sexuality, gives “tips” for eating well, preparing for appointments with your doctor or taking care of yourself. And as its name suggests, this notebook is built so that its users can jot down reminders, personal notes and tick off ideas.
My Bullet Journal is available free of charge in oncology departments and also on request from a health professional on the email: hrahimane@pharmamar.fr
