VIDEO – On the occasion of the 15th National Day of Reflection on Organ Donation, the Biomedicine Agency is launching a campaign to make young people aware of their choice.
For or against organ donation? It is to this question that the Biomedicine Agency invites young people aged 16 to 25 to express themselves. And to help them express their choice of organ and tissue donation to their loved ones, the Agency has launched a digital campaign on the Internet and social networks. It therefore broadcasts, as of today, the film “The Man Who Died The Most in movies”.
The man who dies the most times
Shot, drowned, strangled, hanged, impaled … Robert cronejager is the man who “dies” the most times in the cinema. He always gets up at the end of the clap. The final message of the film is clear: “For all those who die once, tell your loved ones if you are for or against organ donation”, we read.
Funny and quirky, the actor’s Twitter account will allow young people to interact with him, and above all, to ask themselves the question about organ donation, and to talk about it with their loved ones.
I spoke with my loved ones about organ donation after my third death. But don’t be like me. Do not wait.

More than 20,000 patients awaiting transplants
In France, in 2014, more than 20,300 patients were awaiting transplants, and only 5,357 were able to benefit from it. In the space of ten years, the number of patients on waiting lists for transplants has jumped by almost 70%, while the number of transplants performed each year has increased by only 26%. The kidney remains the most transplanted organ, with an increase of 53% in 20 years. The liver and the lung follow, in particular thanks to the redefinition of the sampling criteria.
