Nvidia has reportedly halted production of the company’s next flagship, the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti. Production is paused for a while.
This is reported by the editors of TweakTown based on sources familiar with the situation. Nvidia would have asked production partners to temporarily pause production. Unfortunately, the source couldn’t pinpoint exactly why the manufacturer is doing this, so we’re in the dark about that.
RTX 3090 Ti production on hiatus
Earlier information, from the website VideoCardz, revealed that the RTX 3090 Ti would launch on January 11. After that, the graphics card would be on sale from January 27. However, January 11 passed and the launch was not forthcoming – so now the expectation is that the card won’t be on sale by the end of January either. That gives TweakTown’s message a little more credibility, even though we can’t verify exactly where the news is actually coming from.
During CES 2022, manufacturer Nvidia announced that we would receive more details about the RTX 3090 Ti later this month. For a moment it seemed that the card would be for sale this month after all. It may of course be the case that things have changed behind the scenes since the fair, so that the plans had to be changed.
