A few months ago, British health authorities claimed that the more ejaculations there are, the lower the risk of prostate cancer. They also encouraged men over 40 to ejaculate at least 21 times a month to reduce this risk of cancer. A new study from the University of Sichuan (China) comes to contradict them, affirming this time that the risk of Prostate cancer increases beyond 4 ejaculations per week (16 per month).
To reach this conclusion, published in The Journal of sexual medicine, Chinese researchers reviewed 22 studies in which 55,490 people participated. They also assert that the cancer risk also increases with the number of sexual partners (having had 10 partners would increase the risk by 10%) as well as the age of first intercourse.
With more than 71,000 new cases per year, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in France. It is very rare before age 50 and the average age at diagnosis is almost 70 years. With a 5-year relative survival estimated at nearly 80%, it is cancer very good prognosis.
