Mercedes intends to restore its letters of nobility to its legendary SL roadster. Available only in SL63 4Matic + version, at its launch in spring 2022, the eighth generation of the Mercedes-AMG SL is displayed from €190,750, without the ecological penalty of €40,000.
Presented in October 2021, the Mercedes-AMG SL returns for an eighth generation and intends to restore its image, tarnished for a few years. With the approach of its marketing in the spring, the manufacturer has formalized the price of the roadster which replaces the AMG-GT Roadster.

At its launch, the SL will only be offered with the 63 4Matic + engine. The strong 585 hp 4.0 biturbo V8 from the AMG-GT R is here associated with a nine-speed MCT automatic transmission. This abundance of power is sent for the first time to the four wheels, enough to bring down the 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 s and reach 315 km/h, all hair in the wind. As for the price, the 2+2 roadster is displayed from €190,750, without penalty. With 285 g/km of CO2, therefore count an additional €40,000 according to the 2022 scale and €50,000 from 2023. A version with a less powerful engine, and therefore less fuel-efficient, will quickly complete the catalog. As a reminder, Mercedes is already working on a four-cylinder variant with a light hybridization of the C-Class 43 AMG. Knowing that the SL55 will not be available in France, the idea of an SL43 is more than likely.
