About ten people around the victim received preventive treatment with antibiotics. The young woman was buried on Wednesday 23 May.
On May 3, a 23-year-old student also succumbed to devastating bacterial meningitis in Palavas-les-Flots in the Hérault, no link can be established between the two cases.
There is a vaccine against meningitis C which has been recommended since 2010 by the public authorities for people aged 12 months to 24 years.
