Together you are stronger
Be the only one to turn down a colleague’s treat. As the only raw vegetable instead of sausage rolls. To lose weight you must have an iron willpower. How nice it would be if you could do it together. Because together you are stronger.
Motivation and inspiration. Slim recipes. Tips for eating out anyway. When you join a weight loss club, you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Weight Watchers is of course a well-known example, but in every place there are initiatives to fight overweight with a group of people. Every week there is a meeting where you receive information and are motivated to keep it up.
buttocks exposed
The major advantage – or disadvantage as you wish – of a joint diet club is the public weighing moment. Would you like to do some smuggling yourself, here you really have to expose your buttocks. So think twice before you start that bar of chocolate. And that works.
online weight loss
No time to get together one evening every week? Nowadays you don’t even have to leave the house. Type in ‘lose weight together’ on Google and the online slimming clubs and forums will fly all over you. Weight Watchers also has an online version. The principle remains the same: you receive tips about good nutrition and exercise and you can motivate each other online if things are not going well. You only have to do that weighing yourself.
Get rid of the drop pot
But you don’t even have to opt for club weight loss. you can also together with colleagues or meet friends to lose weight together. If you get the urge to grab a drink in the liquorice pot at the office or eat half a baguette at the neighborhood barbecue, there is always someone who can tap you on the fingers. Or better yet, which just takes away the licorice pot. Because the fewer temptations, the better you hold out.
Success inspires
The success of losing weight together does not come out of the blue. Research shows that losing weight works better in a team. “People around us influence our behavior and healthy habits,” said study researcher Tricia Leahey. “It can be helpful if a bunch of friends try to lose weight together, make healthy choices, and hold each other accountable for those choices.” Teammates can motivate each other to stay on track. “If one person does really well, it can affect the entire group,” said Leahey.
Only strong!
The moral of this story is: together you are strong, but don’t forget that in the end you have to do it alone!
