After the Futurista, Automobili Amos presents the Safarista, a modernized Lancia Delta prepared for difficult tracks. This rally car of more than 300 hp will be sold in very small numbers, for several hundred thousand euros each.
Automobili Amos has struck again. This young Italian restomod company, which made a name for itself in 2018 with a very muscular Lancia Delta from the 1980s and 1990s called Futurista, today announced a Safarista variant of the latter. As indicated by his name, it is a raised version designed for difficult terrain.

The Delta in the wild
The base car is a Delta Integrale 16v. Initially, this one received the same treatment as the Futurista: removal of the rear doors, composite body based on carbon fiber, reinforced chassis, revised ground links, and a reworked engine to offer more than 300 hp.
Corn designed for sports use (non-competitive), the Safarista also receives racing car equipment such as a new aerodynamic package, harness bucket seats, a roll cage, an adjustable pedals and a removable steering wheel. Its tailor-made suspension is adjustable, its brakes are specific, and a hydraulic handbrake is on the menu as well as a gearbox and differentials from the competition.
More than half a million euros for this Delta restomod
More than a vehicle, it is a sports program that Automobili Amos wants to offer its customers with the Safarista. The latter will be produced in a maximum of ten copies on order. The transformation from a Delta Integrale 16V – which the owner must provide – will be invoiced at 570,000 € excluding taxes., that is to say approximately 200,000 € more than for a Futurista, excuse the little. To know if the owners will dare to manhandle their cars on gravel or in the mud, we will have to wait for the project to materialize.
