On the occasion of 60 years of James Bond in cinema, Land Rover unveils a Defender prepared for the rally-raid and equipped with a special livery. English driver and stuntman Mark Higgins will be at the controls of the off-roader during a round of the Bowler Defender Challenge on March 26, 2022.
The most famous secret agent celebrates the 60th anniversary of his first appearance in the cinema. Since 1962 and the movie James Bond vs. Dr. No, the saga is intimately linked to the automotive world. If Aston Martin steals the show with its DB5, we must not forget Land Rover, which has also multiplied appearances. In the latest installment, Dying can wait, the new Defender is one of the passing cars on screen. Moreover, it will even be entitled to a special Bond Edition series equipped with a V8 engine. In 2022, the English manufacturer is celebrating this anniversary with a Defender prepared for rally-raid.

Special equipment
The English off-roader takes up the base of the 90 model. Under the hood is a 300 hp P300 Ingenium petrol engine. Among the list of modifications made, we can note the addition of a complete roll bar, an improved cooling system, a sports exhaust, as well as a new spoiler. The suspension has also been revised accordingly with new springs and reinforced shock absorber chapels. Finally, the Defender sits on 18-inch Bowler rims, which are also reinforced and wrapped in off-road tires.
