A Lancia Delta Evoluzione “Martini 5” is offered for auction on the Internet. In addition to the rarity of the model, this one has, among other particularities, that it is almost new since, although it left the factory more than 30 years ago, it has only covered 168 km and seems to have been perfectly preserved.
In 1991, Lancia declined its furious Delta HF Integrale 16V in an Evoluzione version even more wicked, widened and equipped with a four-cylinder 2 L turbo engine increased to 210 hp, with the aim of homologating for the rally such an evolution its compact. That same year, the Italian manufacturer won the ninth of its ten WRC constructors’ titles, the fifth with the Delta alone. To mark the occasion, in 1992 he launched a special series of the Evo named Martini 5, in the famous colors of his sponsor, limited to 400 units. One of them, n°69, is currently for sale in the United States and it only shows 168 kilometers on the odometer.

According to the description, the car was discovered in 2018 in the basement of a dealership in Italy. The plastic film still present today on the fabric of the door panels and on the floor mats suggests that the car was new at that time, when its current owner acquired it.
Its white paint, blue and red stripes, white Speedline rims, Recaro bucket seats and even its engine look immaculate. This Delta Evo Martini 5 has a certificate of authenticity from Lancia Classicheand it has been the subject of some care since it saw the light of day, including an emptying of its braking circuit.

But its tires are still vintage, bearing manufacturing codes corresponding to the years 1990 and 1991. A complete overhaul and a change of consumables therefore seem more than recommended before hitting the road at the wheel, although the engine is running and that everything seems to work according to the video attached to the ad. Tools, cover and other original accessories come with the vehicle.
