Ray-Ban and Facebook have entered into a partnership. The result is smart glasses that aren’t ugly.
You don’t expect a collaboration between sunglasses brand Ray-Ban and Facebook. But they did it anyway to develop glasses. They’ve been doing this for a long time, but the time has finally come. The two companies jointly release the first smart glasses called Ray-Ban Stories. The glasses should not only be stylish, but also technologically advanced.
Smart glasses that aren’t ugly
Well, most ‘smart glasses’ are not for peeping at. That is about to change, these glasses look good. The glasses are for sale from 329 euros. You can choose from different (well-known) frames, such as Round and Wayfarer. You can also select different lenses, such as colored or prescription lenses. They do cost a bit more. The glasses are for sale in Ray-Ban’s stores and in their web shop.
In addition to the sleek design, the glasses can do much more than normal glasses. For example, it has built-in audio. With Bluetooth! This allows you to easily play your desired music or make a phone call.

Now Facebook comes into play, because they have developed an app. This app is directly linked to the glasses. With the app you can easily share photos with family, colleagues and friends. Of course you can also post it directly on Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger or another app.
According to the makers, the glasses are designed in such a way that privacy is central. Facebook itself writes:We make sure that owners of the glasses – and the people around them – feel comfortable, safe and well-informed.” More information about the glasses is here to find.
