The first iPhone with USB-C is apparently a real collector’s item. The modified smartphone yielded a bizarre amount.
A clever mind has managed to create the first working iPhone with USB-C. That was world news doing this came out. Charging, transferring files. It was all possible in combination with iOS and USB-C on the custom iPhone X. The maker decided to use the phone via eBay to offer for auction. A masterstroke, as it turns out.
Because the iPhone with USB-C generated a lot of interest. The opening bid alone was over $800. Ultimately, the auction ended at $86,001. That is converted more than 75,000 euros. A lot of money for an iPhone. But perhaps an acceptable amount for the world’s first USB-C variant? Who’s to say.
The buyer, however, has very little to do with it. At least, to use this phone as a daily device. Because that is not recommended. The seller’s advice is not to touch the software. It also clamps down on the buyer not to open the housing. The last advice not to use the device as a daily device because the iPhone with USB-C is not as reliable as a regular copy.
Put it in the display case and look at it. That’s what you should do. And let’s hope that this first iPhone with USB-C in 10 years still worth that much money, or even increased in value.
