No intervention from Apple CarPlay or other hassle. Apple Music works directly on your new Audi.
Listening to music via Bluetooth is so 2014. Nowadays you have a subscription to services such as Spotify or Apple Music to listen to your favorite music. With a modern car you can then easily enjoy the music via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. But it can be even easier. With a direct integration.
Audi will integrate Apple Music directly into the car. The service from the American tech company will become part of the Multi-Media Interface (MMI) infotainment system in Audi’s. The car uses in-car internet data to stream the music.
In this way, Audi drivers can directly access their own Apple Music account. No Bluetooth or USB connection is required.
If you prefer Apple Music in combination with CarPlay, that is of course also possible. This service will also remain available in your modern Audi. In practice, you may also use it this way more often. Because then you can simply use things like Google or Apple Maps instead of the car’s navigation system.
The development is primarily an extra service. Your iPhone can stay in your pocket while you listen to music in your Audi via Apple Music. It makes it all a bit more relaxed.
