According to various analysts, some iPhone 13 variants will come with a nice large storage.
Renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo released a new investor report this morning, outlining expectations for the iPhone 13, Apple Watch Series 7 and AirPods 3. Kuo confirms that the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be available in an all-new 1TB storage configuration for the first time.
iPhone 13 storage
Kuo is always knowledgeable and often has reliable information. He says the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini will be available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage configurations. This eliminates the 64 GB.
Previous reports have already talked about the storage of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. Kuo now confirms this. These devices will be available in: 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB configurations. With the latter you have a lot of storage.
Delays
The chip shortages are still there. However, Kuo also warns that the iPhone 13 will be hit by shortages at Apple.
“Shipping of the iPhone 13 in 4Q21 may have a potential downside risk due to component shortages. However, this drawback has a limited impact on iPhone 13 shipments. We believe iPhone 13 shipments could grow by more than 10% year-over-year in 2021 (vs. iPhone 12 shipments in 2020).”
Kuo also discusses the AirPods 3 in the report. He expected that the AirPods 3 will be announced during Tuesday’s event. Apple will also likely keep AirPods 2 in the lineup as another option for shoppers in addition to the AirPods 3 redesign. Tomorrow night at 7:00 PM, Apple will hold the streaming event.
