3 million people are treated for cancer each year in France. And two-thirds of them suffer from bothersome side effects on the skin. Thus, it is not uncommon to suffer from dry skin due to a chemotherapy or to change hair color during treatment with hormone therapy.
These consequences can be a source of further suffering for women who, in addition to suffering from the disease, must cope with physical changes that they find difficult to accept. Fortunately, they do not have to resign themselves to giving up their femininity and can resort to a few tips (wig, dermatological creams, makeup …) to always look so pretty.
To help these women, L’Oréal Research & Innovation, La Roche-Posay and the Gustave Roussy cancer center have joined forces to create a beauty guide for patients undergoing anti-cancer treatment. This guide, filled with practical advice, will be distributed with the April issue of Rose magazine and then distributed free of charge in pharmacies and hospitals. A great initiative for all those who have no intention of giving up their coquetry during the illness.
