Due to the influenza pandemic, the State makes its stocks of antivirals available to the general public.
Three types of drugs will be dispensed, Tamiflu capsules, and generic drugs: Oseltamivir tablets and Relenza powder.
Pharmacists should prioritize giving tablets to treatment for children and people with swallowing difficulties. Usually their stocks will consist of Tamiflu 75 mg hard capsules and Oseltamivir 30 mg scored tablets.
Treatment is recommended for all people with influenza, as well as for people who are not sick but have risk factors, such as pregnant women and children under one year of age, who have been in contact with someone with the flu. .
If state stocks were not sufficient to meet demand, the Roche laboratory, which markets Tamiflu, is committed to ensuring the availability of the product for all patients who may need it.
