Lots of BMWs, Mercedes, Volkswagens but also a lot of English stuff
Get the Kärcher out again, because we have food for your pressure washer. A huge barn find has just surfaced in London – or more like a shed find. For years, a collector parked his collection in this enormous hall, only to let it collect dust afterwards. Only the owner (or perhaps the next of kin, the story is unknown) decided that the doors could be opened to a small audience. A YouTuber was allowed in to film the whole thing.
None of the 175 cars from the barn find in London seem super exotic, but under the layer of factory dust and bird poop there is enough to please the enthusiast. For example old VW vans, a load of Mercedes SL’s, a handful of MG’s, an old Porsche 911, a Daihatsu Copen, some older BMW’s and a Mazda MX-5. Some convertibles have been parked with the roof open, so that the interior has now been reupholstered by father time. Good sin.
The cars go on sale
In the video you can hear people busy starting the cars in the background. That’s because the collection is currently being sold. Would you be wise to buy a barn find? That is always the discussion. Some of the cars have been there for more than 20 years. The question is whether your bird droppings that are old enough to vote will ever get completely off the paint. And then we haven’t even mentioned all the rubbers and hoses in and around the engine.
Not all cars have been there for 20 years
Other cars are there for a lot shorter. For example, according to a reaction on YouTube, the BMW 2002 would only have been parked there for five years. It is always wise to check the fluids well and to put some new stuff in the tank. Via the special Instagram account London Barn Finds you can contact the collection manager for a viewing and to place your bid.
