This year, we forget the good resolutions that we never keep and we just talk about reaching your Goals ! Thinking of losing weight, quitting smoking, or spending less time on social media? Here are the 4 factors of a successful transformation.
Resolutions generally follow a trigger event or a pressing need that is difficult to achieve. Often, when a year ends, we hope that the next will be synonymous if not with transformation, at least with evolution.
Commitments to oneself
In fact, good resolutions are a custom of Western civilization on the occasion of the transition to new Year. It consists of taking one or more commitments to yourself to improve your behavior, change a bad habit or positively transform your lifestyle during the coming year. Clearly, we want achieve new goals…
If the French are a large majority to make good resolutions for the year, 85% of them admit to being unable to keep them over the long term. But their success rate of these resolutions would be appreciably improved when they are made public and that they get support from friends and the entourage.
Achieving your goals means making the right decisions
For human beings, there is nothing stronger in the world than a “global” decision. The first day of the year is thus an appointment easy to remember and which has the particularity of being universal.
This produces a kind ofgroup energy, crucial to achieve its objectives. Thus, in thecollective unconscious, there is a kind of Planetary “communion” New Years Day.
At the start of the year, the period is favorable because there is a feeling of renewal and the cool climate lends itself well to it. Culturally, it is both the renewal of all nature, of the human being and it is therefore a perfect time to make real change decisions.
The right motivation to change your habits
Everything that is alive and human on this planet is based on 5 factors of life. The principle is simple: everything that is living and human breathes, nourishes itself, protects itself, thinks and feels emotions. Thus, everything that happens in the heart and the emotional system is linked to these 5 factors of the living.
Any positive decision is based at the outset on a motivation. Whatever this decision (weight loss, quitting smoking, etc.), as long as it is good for the body, it will interfere with our logical thinking and our emotions.
But a decision that is good for the body (a decision made in conscience) will only be taken if we take into account our five factors of life. It is a global process that must be set in motion if we wish to achieve our objectives in a sustainable way.
The 4 stages of change to achieve your goals
You can’t really negotiate with yourself because in a negotiation there are people and arguments that come into play that are supposed to convince the other party.
The first rule to hold resolutions for a whole year is therefore to follow four steps: truth, lucidity, progressiveness, freedom. What does this mean in practice?
1. The truth
If we decide to lose weight, we are not actually making the decision to lose a certain number of pounds. We accept the idea of changing. To lose weight, we will have to change our eating, physical, emotional behavior, etc. Otherwise, being overweight can never be sustainable.
The pounds lost will only be a consequence of a deeper and more comprehensive change: leading a healthier life. This is the first step: it is factual and it consists in making the observation of the truth.
2. Lucidity
We then decide to improve the evening meal, both in nutritional quality and ease of digestion (light proteins). Thus, we will perfectly keep our decision to lose weight. It is showing lucidity relative to its own lines.
3. Progressivity
If we decide to reduce all evening meals, we can proceed as follows: initially, every other evening, then five evenings a week except weekends. It is the notion of progressiveness.
4. Freedom
Finally, to achieve the goal, we switch to light menus every day of the week except one day. It is the exception that allows us to stay the course, the reward that allows us to celebrate the effort made. It is the space of freedom essestial.
But beware, as long as the brain is not aware of being overweight, there will be a frontal opposition. A clash between the decision to lose weight (good for health) and the brain which, for its part, wants to continue to enjoy (notion of pleasure) and therefore does not want to lose weight.
The first decision, the key that unlocks the locks of other decisions, is the decision to take an interest in his whole human being. Identify imbalances and use small health-tools daily to rebalance.
The 3 tools to achieve your goals
Making good decisions is the very essence of progress, advancement and collaboration between all human beings; it’s’essence of life. Here are the tools that will keep you going without going backwards:
- The breathing (anti-stress breathing) helps slow heart rate and stress flow, regulate blood pressure, relax muscles and moderate appetite. Yes all of this at the same time!
- The chrononutrition never overloads the body.
- The detoxification helps to eliminate toxins, prevent saturation of the organism and regenerate it.
In conclusion, the process of getting a good resolution is quite personal. We must make our decision based on 4 following success factorss: truth, lucidity, progressiveness and freedom.
If the decision is good for you, we start the project. Then, to see it last, we install a harmony of the 5 factors of the living. And it is necessary to consider its relations with the direct entourage to obtain their adhesion and their support.
Hoping that you will achieve your goals, we wish you a Happy New Year.
