Ingredients

200 grams smoked chicken breast

2 red pointed peppers

2 cloves of garlic

1 red pepper

3 spring onions

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons tomato paste

1 teaspoon (smoked) paprika powder

1 can diced tomatoes

4 sweet and sour pickles
-
1 liter (chicken) stock

250 grams of sauerkraut

Bunch of fresh parsley

4 tablespoons sour cream
Preparation
- Cut the chicken breast into strips. Peel and chop the garlic. Cut the bell pepper into pieces. Clean the pepper and cut it into rings. Cut the spring onion into rings.
- Heat the oil in a soup pot. Fry the chicken breast, garlic, bell pepper, pepper and spring onions in the hot oil for a few minutes.
- Add the tomato paste and fry for a while. Add the paprika and diced tomatoes. Cut the pickles into pieces. Add this together with 2 tablespoons of pickle liquid and the stock.
- Add the sauerkraut, bring to the boil and let the soup simmer for half an hour.
- Season with salt and pepper. Finely chop the parsley. Serve the soup with a spoonful of sour cream and generously sprinkled with parsley.
Delicious with a piece of firm (sourdough) bread.
