Facilitating the mobility of health professionals is the commitment of the Paris City Hall. From January 1, 2018, liberal doctors, midwives, nurses, physiotherapists and speech therapists will be able to park for free in the capital, thanks to a “PRO Home care” card. To take advantage of this advantage, they must practice in Paris, be registered in the capital or in the inner suburbs and intervene at least 100 times a year at patients’ homes.
Reduced price for doctors working in private practice
Health professionals who do not travel to their homes are not left out: they will be able to benefit from reduced-rate parking accessible thanks to a “PRO Sedentary” card, “because of the importance of the daily assignments they carry out. work with Parisians, and to maintain a consistent and varied offer of care in the territory ”, we can read in a communicated of the town hall of Paris.
Good news for the unions in the medical sector, which until then denounced the paid parking system during home visits. “Many cities have established a zero tolerance policy and fined doctors or imposed exorbitant parking fees”, recalls the Confederation of French medical unions (CSMF) on its site, who “welcomes” today the decision of Anne Hidalgo.
