HBO Max has been launched in the Netherlands, but that doesn’t mean you can just watch any movie or series with Dutch subtitles.
Fortunately, at HBO Max they also understand that this is an issue and they are working on a solution. Apparently there is a delay between the launch of the service in Netherlands and the delivery of the Dutch subtitles. The service has been available in our country since Thursday 8 March.

The launch of HBO Max in the Netherlands did not go smoothly. Customers who wanted to take out a subscription via iDeal last night ran into problems. The streaming service’s customer service announced on social media that it would handle all issues as well as possible. Those issues should have been resolved by now. The next issue has to do with the subtitles on HBO Max. Several series and films on the service did not have a Dutch subtitle. Frustrating watching TV if you don’t understand the English language.
HBO Max is also aware of that problem. The streaming service says on social media, among other things, that Dutch subtitles are coming. In short, HBO Max sets foot in the Netherlands in small fits and starts. Do you have a subscription and have the subtitles already been arranged? Then grab some popcorn and a drink. Because these are the 10 must-see TV series on the new streaming service.
