A mountain bike without visible suspension. What’s up with that? The Harley Davidson Bash/Mtn is a no-nonsense electric bicycle.
Harley-Davidson is of course known for its iconic tough motorcycles. Nowadays, the brand is also busy releasing electric bicycles. Harley-Davidson does this under the Serial 1 sub-brand. The Bash/Mtn is the latest concept from Harley-Davidson. But something crazy is going on.
You can recognize a premium mountain bike by a few elements. Think big brakes, great off-road tires and serious suspension. Most things from this list can indeed be seen directly from the design of the Harley. Except the suspension. That misses.
Harley-Davidson has chosen to provide the Bash/Mtn with an aluminum frame and front fork. As a result, no front or rear suspension is needed for the mountain bike to bounce well on unpaved and challenging trails.
Whether it also rides as smoothly as this e-bike looks remains to be seen. According to Harley-Davidson it is in any case not necessary at this Bash/Mtn. No fuss. Just two wheels, one gear and that’s it. This is how Harley describes this interesting mountain bike.
The range varies between 48 and 152 kilometers, depending on your driving style. The bike gets that power from a 529Wh large battery. In about 2.5 hours of charging, the battery is again 75 percent full. The price tag is $3,999. Only 1,050 of these are made in total.
